¿Què més podem esperar d’una persona, sobretot de nosaltres mateixos, que intentar fer el que volem i no fer el que no volem?

Una altra cosa és què considerem que és el que volem i què és el que no volem.

Si el que volem és compatible amb el que tots volem, l’armonia està garantida. Si el que volem no coincideix amb el que l’entorn vol, mal assumpte: canviem nosaltres o intentem propiciar el canvi?

Aquí entra l’ètica. La compassió i l’enteniment. Han d’anar de la mà.

En temps de por, desconfiança, reculades i materialisme agut, es fa difícil dir coses com “el bé col·lectiu és el meu bé” o “el dolor al·liè és el meu dolor també” perquè a ningú li agrada sentir-se incomprès o pres per un il·luminat. Però les conviccions, es diguin en veu alta o s’amaguin per evitar que t’estigmatitzin, segueixen sent conviccions. El que és difícil esdevé més necessari que mai.

Tots fem el que podem. Començant per un mateix i fent créixer el cercle.

Compassió i enteniment.

La resta és pèrdua.

 

“Més i més”

Que l’axioma que mou les nostres vides sigui “més i més” és un problema, acceptem-ho. No vol dir que sumar sigui sempre negatiu, no vull dir això. Però que l’objectiu i justificació de  tot sigui el “més i més” és un problema. Per a les persones (i de moment encara tots som persones), per a les empreses, per als països, i per al planeta fins i tot.

A curt termini el “més i més” funciona. És veritat.

Però a mig termini trontolla. I a la llarga, fa fallida.

Imagineu una cursa on els participants corren, corren i corren, i corren,  més i més. Al final, de tant córrer, és veritat que només en quedarà un, i “guanyarà”, però pel camí tots els demés hauran caigut, exhaustos.

Tots menys un hi perden.

No té molt de sentit, no?

El “més i més” és una tàctica poc intel·ligent.

Si no fos perquè està regint la nostra societat, com a model social i econòmic  seria una futesa, de tant simple que és. Però s’ha convertit en un problema (i en un disbarat), justificat ideològicament en nom de la “llibertat” (la llibertat entesa com a absència de solidaritat i compromís col·lectiu) i aplicat sistemàticament en nom del “creixenent” (el creixement entès com una constant manifestació del “més i més”).

No m’agrada córrer i córrer cap a un objectiu que sé que: 1) o bé acabarà amb mi o 2) si “guanyo”, em quedaré sol.

Les dues opcions són derrotes. És un clar cas de lose-lose.

I malgrat tot, encara molts  som adeptes del “més i més”, cada dia, cada nit, cada vegada que trobem el nostre sentit en alguna manifestació del “més i més” (fins i tot quan proclamem el menys hem trobat la manera que sembli més: allò del “menys és més”).

Igual que estant dins d’una bombolla no és veu la bombolla, corrent sense parar, si tothom córrer, sembla que estiguem aturats.

El “més i més” és insostenible. I això ho sabem tots.

Confiem que la resta no serà només silenci.

Social body

The current crisis revolves completely around this: What happens if we, as a social body, stop acting as a social body and embrace individualism?

What are the real consequences of this?

Not the causes (we could spend hours blaming each others), but the consequences.

The consequences are the reality we are living now.

The sense of strangeness you see in the eyes of other people at the metro wagon.

The cold tough look in the eyes of people walking by on the streets. Like they were affirming something through their roughness.

The loneliness due to the feeling of disconnexion, of not belonging, of “not being able to”… whatever.

When all we need is right in front of us, by our side, or even inside of us. But we need to trust and cooperate. And we need to admit that, against common statements, whatever happens to whoever is somehow happening to me as well.

And accepting this takes courage and confronts individualism.

Because this is not just theory. This is not an intellectual statement.

And you know it too.

This is about waking the social body up.
